Affiliate Disclosure
LocalRig earns affiliate commissions on some of the products it links to, at no extra cost to you. Here's exactly how that works and the line it never crosses.
LocalRig is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and the eBay Partner Network, along with a small number of other hardware and cloud-GPU affiliate programs. When you buy through certain links on this site, LocalRig may earn a commission. The price you pay is the same either way — the commission comes from the retailer, not from you.
That revenue is what keeps the benchmarking and writing sustainable. There is real value in being pointed to the right part, and the affiliate fee is how that work gets funded. But the recommendation itself is never for sale:
- Picks are ranked by fit, never by payout. LocalRig recommends the best option for your constraint even when the commission is lower, or zero.
- Cheaper and non-affiliate paths are surfaced honestly — used cards, secondhand marketplaces, and "rent in the cloud instead of buying" when that's the better call.
- No single program dominates. LocalRig caps how much of its revenue any one affiliate program can represent, so no partner can quietly bend the guidance.
